Public Higher Education in 2021: Challenges in the Moment and Opportunities for the Future
Join AASCU and EAB for a two-part virtual symposium exclusively for presidents and their cabinets about the current and future state of higher education in the midst of a global pandemic, nationwide economic recession, and historic social justice movement.
The symposium will feature insights from EAB's experts, informed by AASCU's public policy perspectives, on the challenges, including business models, the student of the future, and a crisis of confidence, all with a lens of how the coronavirus pandemic is exacerbating these challenges. Also, the opportunities for the future of higher education, including the customer experience, cross-disciplinary problem-solving, recapturing the public good and lifting our regions, the faculty role of the future, and wholly new business models.
Sessions will include interactive components to maximize opportunities for participants to learn from each other. Also included will be networking activities and an optional (but highly encouraged!) presidents-only discussion about how the challenges in higher education are impacting them and their institutions, guided by EAB's expertise on crisis thinking and leading through change.
